“SEO is a marketing function for sure,
but it needs to be baked into a product,
not slapped on like icing
after the cake is baked.”

A Month At Waspit In Review – January 2013

The first month of the new year has passed, time is flying, and summer is going to be here before we know it. Our team has been working hard as always and in the next few months we will be releasing some exciting features. We are learning from your constant feedback and because of your support the Waspit Platform gets better everyday.

The first question you should ask yourself is: how are you holding to your New Year’s Resolutions? I know I set personal goals for myself as did Waspit. We are striving to give you a better experience, more features, and will continue to do this. So if you have input, please let us know, we are listening.

Our internship program has also grown from last semester. We are now at over 50 universities with many more on the horizon. We have great individuals who are learning and growing in the field of event planning, social media, and marketing. We have revamped the program from last semester so that is more well rounded and far more organized. If you are looking for an internship where you get to see the results of your efforts, learn a lot, grow your network, and build your resume, you should definitely apply for a position with us.

I mentioned how the summer was going to be here before we know it, but did I mention how Waspit’s Spring Break trip to Panama City Beach this March? Our team and some lucky college students will be showing off the Waspit Platform, hanging out on the beach, and enjoying the rays down in Florida at the hottest college spring break destination in the country! We have not yet selected who will be coming with us and the challenge is only a few weeks underway so enter our Spring Break Challenge now!

The Takeaway
If it was easy, the story wouldn’t be as good. In the past year I know we have faced some big challenges and after we overcome one, there seems to be another, but that is the name of the game. If it were easy, everyone would do it. To be successful in this business (or any) you have to be determined, focused, and passionate about what you are trying to achieve. Tenacity is also important because as soon as you decide to give up, the game is over. Whatever it is that you are doing, do it, don’t just go through the motions. Make it happen!
